The Santa Train

This weekend, we all took a ride on the Santa Train. It was a lot of fun.

Eleanor starts eating real food

Well, not quite real - just rice cereal. Still, it was a big hit - for both kids.

Max turns 2!

For Max's second birthday, we had two parties. The first was with family only and it included presents. The second was for toddlers - the theme was colors, and people had to dress in their favorite color instead of bringing a present. Everyone had a good time.

Going East

This week, we all went on a trip to the East Coast. First, we went to Washington, D.C. for three days, where we saw the National Mall and various Smithsonians. Max loved the big bones (at the Natural History museum) and the airplanes (at the Air and Space museum). The pandas were also a big hit.

At the Natural History museum, seeing "big dinos"

At Great-Grandma Sally's apartment

After D.C., we went north to visit Jean's grandma, Sally. A bunch of Jean's aunts and uncles came by as well, though we unfortunately forgot to take pictures of some of them. Here are a few of the pictures we did manage to take.

Halloween

For Halloween this year, Max and Eleanor were cows. Dan was a cowboy and I was a cowgirl. Our friend Carolyn threw the best toddler Halloween party ever.

Big Update

Okay, we haven't done an update in a while, so bear with us. First things first:

Christmas

Max was the only one who didn't get violently ill on our Christmas trip to California. We are still trying to forget what will go down as one of the all time worst Christmases ever.

Thanks to Max's cousin Jenni for the photos.

Next:

Walking!!

(Note to grandparents: this is a "MOVIE" - click on the little triangle button in the lower left hand corner of the photo and you will see Max MOVE.)

This is Max at the zoo, at the African Savannah village. Apparently villages in the African Savannah are paved with tarmac, and have lots of drums and indigenous musical instruments.

And here's Max's favorite new toy: a silk scarf from Kim & Jason (another movie):

Max's favorite activity is running around the house with the scarf covering his head, like a tiny blue ghost:

(Sorry it's so dark.) Here's a photo of our green ghost sweeping the floor:

Finally, here is:

Birthday, Take Two

Max enjoyed his chocolate cupcake at his friends' birthday party.

A lot!
