Welcome to Iowa

In case you haven't heard, we now live in Iowa! The kids are doing great and we are all having fun exploring our new city, state, and region.

Eleanor turns one!

On Thursday (July 22), Eleanor turned one! We had a small party with Grandma Susu and Baba Henry. Max helped make the cake and Eleanor loved eating it.





She was a little skeptical about it at first, but she soon decided she liked chocolate frosting.

Bath time

Max and Enna love bath time. Especially when it involves splashing.

Easter 2010

We had a lovely Easter, complete with dying and hunting for easter eggs and a wonderful dim sum brunch with Grandma Susan ("Susu"), Grandpa Henry, Pregnant Cousin Hannah (woot!) and Cousin Ben. The dim sum was a huge hit with both kids - especially Eleanor, who is getting bored of mashed peas.

Here are a few pictures of Max and Eleanor hanging out together. They aren't really playing together, but Eleanor likes to watch Max do his thing, and he is usually ok with having her around. He has also started calling her Enna (which sounds a lot like "Anna").

Eleanor starts to roll and sit and sleep

Eleanor is nearly eight months old and growing fast! She's very happy now that she can sit up on her own, because it makes it much easier to watch Max (which is her favorite activity). She can also roll over now, and so we started letting her sleep on her stomach. Her sleep instantly improved, which is great news for everyone.
